Back to School Apple Projects

photo of: Apple Projects for Back to School (Preschool thru Kindergarten)

APPLES!! It's time to start thinking about apples!
Will you be sending an apple to the teacher?
Are you starting to think about 'back-to-school'?
Planning a field trip to the orchard this fall?
Have a taste for a crisp juicy apple?
Welcome. You've arrived at the right spot!
These are some apple-of-my-eye projects that
I captured during my Author-Illustrator School Visits last year.

How cute is this handprint bulletin board for back to school?
It could work well from wee toddlers thru preschool

all the way up to Kindergarten!!

I can imagine ambitious K-teachers making the rhyme into a pocket chart read aloud!
I LUV LUV LUV the: plop, plop, plop!
You just know it would bring squeals of laughter with every repetition!

Here's an 'apple' idea that worked well in preschool.

This next one is a project completed for a welcome to school kindergarten bulletin board.

Same apples. Same 'up-on-top' theme.
This time with math involved + more fine motor skills at work!

Let's conclude this little orchard round-up with this 're-run' from my recent Making Math Meaningful.

What's your favorite apple?
I'm a big fan of Honey-Crisp!!

One more Apple-themed bulletin board.
Every student's name is on their own apple.
Simple. Apple. Bulletin board.

In the future, there is an amazing article over at our collaborative blog, PreK +K Sharing with LOTS of apple ideas. All you need to do is click through to see books and other suggestions!
